One of my favourite things to do to turn off my brain from everything sad, is captioning New Yorker cartoons. I never look at the winning (or any) caption. My rule is that I have to write the first thing/joke that comes into my head (sometimes five at once). It’s a nice reprieve- a laugh in the middle of all the torment. Since my cause is such a drag, I thought a little corner for (paid) subscribers to go, when they’d prefer I make them laugh, is the least I can do.

The art is from The New Yorker. When available, the original artist’s mark is shown.

These are all captioned by me. There’s so many more to come.

Here are a few to start you off. I hope you get at least a little giggle.
